Rachel Taverner: passionate about music. As a graduate from the RNCM in keyboard studies I have worked as a freelance soloist, accompanist and piano teacher.
My love of music is what gives me the dedication to perform and pass on what I believe to be an important and enjoyable skill at any level. Watching my students acquire new skills and develop their own playing is a uniquely wonderful experience and in turn influences my own ideas about my playing and performances.
Having the experience of being alongside 45 students each week across a wide range of ages, from young to mature and from beginners to Diploma standard, means I am constantly challenged to produce new teaching ideas making it such an important part of my freelance work.
I love to perform music in any setting, I have been recognised in my work as an accompanist and also really enjoy chamber music, the chance to work with other musicians as a pianist is so much fun. If you are here to find someone to play for your special event, do have a good look round my website, listen to some of the recordings and feel free to get in touch!
Being based in the North West means it is possible for me to respond for performance opportunities both nationally and internationally.
